Module 8: Creating & Planning Exposures
Module 8 will introduce you to the process of creating behavioral exposure. Exposure is the capstone of this treatment program.
Behavioral exposures are designed to help you desensitize to anxiety triggers, increase tolerance to anxiety, and practice adaptive skills when anxious.

Behavioral Exposure Planning
-
Background: Behavioral exposure planning consists of creating exposures, coaching current exposures, or planning more intense exposures.
-
Creating exposures: The process of creating an effective starting point for exposure therapy that doesn't place the client in an exposure higher than they are capable of handling.
-
Coaching current exposures: Clients may need more time to complete their current exposures or may be having difficulty engaging in their exposures. When this happens, sessions will focus on coaching clients to help them participate in their exposures more effectively.
-
Planning more intense exposures: When clients have desensitized to their current exposures, the client and therapist will start the process of creating the next exposure.
